The mountain is opening early and hopefully everyone is gearing up! Here's some info on the MWSC start up.
FIRST WEEKEND
Our first weekend is December 29 and 30. Start times will be 9:15 with a 45 minute lunch around 11:30. The kids finish for the day at 2:45.
Groups have not yet been made as we are still receiving registrations, but once they have been made they will be communicated to you on this blog. We will use first names and last initials to alleviate any privacy concerns. Please be patient as we finalize groups and assess skiers during the first couple weeks. Group changes will be posted in the club cabin during the first couple weeks.
U12 Training Camps
For our U12 group, you will have some extra training camps over the Christmas break. Your camps are from December 28-31 and January 3-6.
PARENT MEETINGS
We will hold parent meetings in the club cabin at 9:15 on Saturday, December 29 and Sunday, December 30. This meeting is especially valuable for new families.
VESTS
We will hold vest exchanges at 8:30 am on Saturday, Dec. 29 and Sunday, Dec. 30. If you are upsizing your vest, please make sure it's laundered and pockets have been emptied. If you are new to the club, you can get yours as well (you've already paid for it in your club fees.) The club vest is our "official" uniform and allows us to easily recognize our skiers.
SOCIAL EVENTS
Our first Casino Night is planned for Saturday, December 29 at the club cabin. This was a huge success last year and a lot of good fun. Invite all your friends and make a night of it.
The Club social/meet and greet will be held on Saturday, January 5th at 1:00 pm in the club cabin. We're hoping for all of our parents and families to attend, so we are inviting our U10/U12 Sunday skiers to get in an extra day training and ski on the Saturday as well.
COMMUNICATION
Personally, I'm having trouble with my Telus webmail so I won't be emailing reminders much this year. Due to that issue, please make sure you check in with the blog on a very regular basis as it is much easier for me to update the blog that to try and send emails.
