CLUB RACE

There's been some questions regarding the "club race" that's on the calendar. This was something discussed back in the fall with the idea of just setting up some gates and having the club have some fun races down the course. This isn't an organized race to prepare in any way for - if it happens, the coaches on that day might just show the kids what a course looks like (if they haven't experienced one before) and guide them through it.

GROUPS

Thanks for all your patience with the groups. We have increased our numbers quite substantially this season (which is great!) but with that comes some organization issues. Apologies to those kids who have been missing off the class lists - hopefully, we'll get it right soon. We've had several kids switch days and groups, and sometimes that doesn't get transferred over to the display signs or coaches class lists. We had a meeting with the coaches and they gave me all of their latest group changes. New lists will be up next week, and hopefully they won't need much changing after that. Please let me know if there is a mistake or your child is missing off a list.

EXPERIENCE THE PODIUM RACE

Don't forget to sign up for the "Experience the Podium" race - do so by clicking on the link on the left of this blog. We're hoping to have most, if not all, kids participate.

DISABLED/U14/U16 RACE

The MWSC is putting on a disabled race on Feb. 2-3 with our U14 and U16 kids participating. We need volunteers for this race to get off the ground - there's a sign up sheet in the club cabin on the window by the main door. This is a race we use to train people as well, so it's the best, low pressure way to learn some of the jobs associated with racing.
